CEO and Managing Director
Phil is an accomplished executive with 28+ years of experience in power generation, renewables, oil and gas, and utility infrastructure. With a strong background in engineering and business, he excels in leading multi-disciplinary teams and specializes in developing projects in emerging sectors like hydrogen, carbon, renewable fuels, and battery storage. Phil has held significant roles at major corporations such as General Electric and Baker Hughes, gaining diverse expertise.
Phil's focus lies in the commercial aspects of energy projects. He possesses in-depth knowledge of project development, joint ventures, project governance systems, and effective joint venture management. His expertise in commercial advisory consulting, M&A transactions, and project finance has yielded outcomes for numerous prominent organisations.
With a pragmatic approach and a keen eye for tangible results, Phil brings a valuable perspective to the table. His ability to navigate complex markets and deliver exceptional value makes him a sought-after leader in the industry.
Phil Hils a B.Eng(Civil)(Homs from RMIT University in Melbourne, an MBA from University of South Australia and a Diploma in Resource Economics from UCL London.
Peter mitchley
Associate
Peter is an energy industry expert with over 35 years’ experience in the power, upstream oil and gas and LNG sectors gained in Europe, North America, North Africa, SE Asia, Central Asia and Australia. Peter advises ASX listed Boards and senior executives on commercial risk management, negotiation strategy, project assurance and delivery processes, and strategic positioning.
Prior to consulting, Peter was the CEO of the Port Kembla LNG import terminal project, a Marubeni/JERA Joint Venture.
Peter has spent over a decade with Santos (an Australian upstream Oil and Gas Producer and LNG exporter) including roles as Chairman of Santos’ GLNG project, General Manager of the Energy NSW business unit and Executive Commercial responsible for both offshore and onshore E&P activity with overall bottom line accountability
Prior to Santos, Peter was 15 years with Hess Corporation as Group Executive, Commercial and was was an Executive Engineer with Eskom, a large power utility responsible for project execution and power capacity planning.
Peter holds a BSc (Electrical Engineering) from the University of Witwatersrand and BCom from the University of South Africa, majoring in Economics and Business Economics.
